On the occasion of the first anniversary of the death of Academician Jakša Barbić, the Department of Social Sciences of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (HAZU) is organizing a commemorative meeting on Wednesday, 14 October 2026 at 12:00.
The meeting will be held at the Palace of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Trg Nikole Šubića Zrinskog 14, Zagreb. Academician Gordan Družić will open the meeting, and the life and work of Academician Barbić will be discussed by Vesna Skorupan Wolff, PhD, Director of the Adriatic Institute, Prof. Petar Miladin, PhD, of the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb, and Academician Arsen Bačić, Head of the Adriatic Institute.
