The conference “Croatian Nautical Tourism 2030” was held in Zagreb on 22 September, organized by the Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK) and Jutarnji list.
The conference brought together representatives of the Croatian Government, relevant ministries, the Representation of the European Commission in Croatia, marinas, charter companies, and other key stakeholders, who discussed the complex issues in nautical tourism as a strategically important economic sector for our country, as well as the challenges it faces today.
Adriana V. Padovan, PhD took part in a panel discussion on the European and international context of nautical tourism, together with Hristo Hristov, Head of the Political Team of the Representation of the European Commission in Croatia, Roberto Perocchio, member of the Board of the ICOMIA Marinas Group and President of the Italian Assomarinas, Ioannis Kourounis, President of the Greek Yachting Association, Ana Čalić, member of the Board of Directors of the European Boating Industry (EBI), and Paško Klisović, President of the HGK Charter Business Group. The topics discussed at this panel included a comparison of European models for managing maritime domain and marinas, issues of sector sustainability, the European environmental legal framework, the competitiveness of the Croatian nautical sector in the European and international context, and the availability of European fund resources for investments in marinas and charter fleets.
