The 6th edition of the “International Maritime and Transport Law Course – Transport Law de lege ferenda 2024“ will be held from September 16th to 21st, 2024, at the Inter-University Centre in Dubrovnik. A scientific assembly named Maritime Law Colloquium “In Search for Regulatory Approach to Autonomous Vessels“ will take place on the first day of the course. Speakers from the international organizations and academic institutions will consider various legal aspects of the use of autonomous ships and application of artificial intelligence in maritime transport.
The Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts is one of many academy institutions that will take part in this year’s Course, and the employee of the Adriatic Institute, Božena Bulum, PhD, will play an active role. Assoc. Prof. Marija Pijaca, PhD, and Božena Bulum, PhD, will present on the topic „MASS and STCW – Emerging Problems with Reference to Seafarers“, and Božena Bulum, PhD, and Ksenija Ostojić, LL.M., will present on the topic „Croatian Tonnage Tax Regime – Tax Challenges Arising from the Decarbonisation and Digitalisation of the Economy“.
