On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Maritime Code from 2004, the Institute of Maritime and Maritime Law of the Faculty of Law in Rijeka, in collaboration with the Adriatic Institute of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (HAZU) and the Croatian Maritime Law Association, is organizing a one-day scientific and professional conference titled “What Has the Maritime Code Brought in the Last 20 Years?

The conference will be held on October 18, 2024, at the Faculty of Law in Rijeka.

This anniversary is an opportunity to recall the work on the development of Croatian maritime legislation and to highlight the provisions of the Maritime Code that have advanced the development of our maritime economy as an important economic sector, as well as those that ensure high standards of navigation safety and marine environmental protection in the coastal area of the Republic of Croatia.
