Faculty of Law, University of Split, under the auspices of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure with the support of the City of Split and the Croatian Chamber of Economy – Couty Chamber of Split, organises the 1st International Academic Conference of Maritime Law under the theme: “Modern Challenges of Marine Navigation”. The conference will take place on the 29th and 30th of September 2016 in the hall of the CCE – Couty Chamber of Split (Obala Ante Trumbića, no. 4).
The conference programme will include 40 presentations by the local and international maritime law experts, academics and professionals. The presentations cover many toppical issues of maritime law, including the safety of navigation, rights of seamen, migrations by sea, concessions on maritime domain, property rights on ships, recognition of foreign judicial sale of ships, legal issues relating to nautical tourism ports and marina operators’ business, cyber crime in marine industry, cross-border insolvency in shipping, the law of inland navigation, various matters related to contracts and liabilities in shipping, protection of marine environment, etc.
During the conference, the regular Assembly of the Croatian Maritime Law Association will be held.
