The Act on the Approval of the International Convention on Wreck Removal (Nairobi, 2007) was adopted in the Croatian Parliament on the 31st of March 2017.
The Convention came into force on the international level on the 14th of April 2015, and Croatia is the 35th state party to this Convention. Croatia shall apply the Convention to the wrecks located in its protected ecological and fisheries zone, on the epicontinental shelf and within its territory, including the territorial sea. The Convention shall enter into force in Croatia three months following the date of deposit by Croatia of the appropriate instrument of accession with the Secretary General of the IMO.
