The 5th International Scientific Conference on Maritime Law: Contemporary Challenges of Maritime Navigation, ISCML 2025, will be held in Split from April 9 to 11, 2025. The conference is organized by the Faculty of Law, University of Split, in collaboration with the Adriatic Institute of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts.

The three-day conference program will include around 40 presentations by domestic and international maritime law scientists and experts. The presentations will cover numerous current topics in maritime law by participants from Italy, Malta, the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Poland, Spain, Australia, the USA, Slovenia, Montenegro, Croatia, and others. The invited speakers are Dr. Ann Fenech, President of the Comité Maritime International (CMI), Professor Emeritus D. Rhidian Thomas, Founding Director of the Institute of International Shipping and Trade Law at Swansea University, lawyer Giorgio Berlingieri, President of the Italian Maritime Law Association, Professor Norman A. Martínez Gutiérrez, Director of the IMO International Maritime Law Institute (IMO IMLI), and Dr. Jan-Erik Pötschke, lawyer.

The conference is held under the auspices of the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Ministry of Science and Education, the City of Split, the Split-Dalmatia County and the Croatian Maritime Law Association, with the support of the Croatian Chamber of Economy.
