Croatian, Slovenian and Italian Maritime Law Associations sign a Memorandum of Understanding at the Adriatic Maritime Law Conference in Portorose

The Adriatic Maritime Law Conference "EU Maritime Law & Policy: Ports, Off-Shore and Blue Growth" was held in Portorose (Slovenia) from the 26th till 28th of May. The academic-professional conference was organised by the Slovenian, Croatian and Italian Maritime Law Associations. It was attended by around 50 maritime law experts from the three Adriatic countries.
Some leading experts of maritime law held lectures and presentations on the hot topical issues of maritime law, in particular on the matters of legal status of the seaports in the EU and the legal framework for offshore activities in the Adriatic and Mediterranean.
At this occasion a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the presidents of the three associations, dr. Mitja Grbec (Slovenia), dr. Giorgio Berlingieri (Italy) and dr. Petar Kragic (Croatia) on the basis of which further cooperation amongst the Associations shall continue. 
The European Commission included the Adriatic Maritime Law Conference "EU Maritime Law & Policy: Ports, Off-Shore and Blue Growth" on the official list of events celebrating the European Maritime Day 2016.
