The Board of Directors of the "Dr. sc. Jadranko Crnić" Foundation, consisting of Dražen Jakovina, LLM, Damir Kontrec, LLB, Prof. Petar Miladin, PhD, Zoran Pičuljan, PhD, and Atty. Robert Travaš, with the participation of Sanja Nola, LLB, the Foundation's secretary, on June 15th, 2023, rendered a decision on the Foundation's awards for the year 2022. The most prestigious honor bestowed by the Foundation, the "Dr. sc. Jadranko Crnić" Award, was granted to Academician Jakša Barbić. He is a retired professor from the Faculty of Law at the University of Zagreb and holds the title of professor emeritus at the University of Zagreb. This award recognizes his lifelong contributions and exceptional achievements in the field of law and his efforts in promoting the rule of law in the Republic of Croatia.
The "Dr. sc. Jadranko Crnić" Awards are bestowed upon distinguished legal professionals in acknowledgment of their lifelong contributions and outstanding achievements in the legal field, as well as their commitment to the promotion of the rule of law in the Republic of Croatia. These acknowledgments are granted to judges, scientists, legal professionals in public administration, lawyers, notaries, legal experts in the business sector, and other legal specialists who, over many years, have consistently exhibited high-quality work and/or effectively applied their expertise or scientific knowledge in legal practice and have made a significant impact on the advancement of the legal profession and have also gained recognition in the public sphere of the Republic of Croatia through their advocacy for the rule of law.
