Adriatic Institute bids farewell to its long standing librarian
5/2/2022

In April 2022, Mrs. Marula Vujasinović, Adriatic Institute's long-standing librarian retires. All members of the Adriatic Institute are grateful for the fruitful cooperation and bid farewell with best wishes.

Mrs. Vujasinović led the Adriatic Institute's library since 1997. She graduated from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (General Linguistics; Librarianship). As a solo librarian at the Adriatic Institute she dealt with all professional jobs - cataloging, classifying, administrative services, user services, and searching special databases relating to the Institute's research projects about maritime law and international law of the sea. She was responsible for initiating the first online connection and web presentation of the Institute and library. In her previous employments (as a librarian at the Faculty of Mathematics and at the Technical Institute) she gained experience as the basis of current knowledge and skills. She published several articles about library issues associated with the practice, participated in many librarian conferences and seminars, and actively worked on scientific projects (DIZBI). She is a member of the Croatian Library Association, and Croatian Information and Documentation Society and occasionally associates with the Croatian Maritime Law Association. Marula is interested in lifelong learning (especially librarianship and IT skills),  recreative artcraft, music, and sports.
